Recital Information

The rehearsals and recitals will take place at the BLOOMINGTON JEFFERSON HIGH SCHOOL Auditorium (4001 West 102nd St., Bloomington, MN 55437). For directions to the Auditorium, click here.

RECITALS Friday, May 17th at 7:00 pm
Saturday, May 18th at 1:00 pm

*ALL STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN BOTH REHEARSALS.

*ALL STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN ALL RECITAL PERFORMANCES.

*THE REHEARSALS ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS. PLEASE DO NOT INVITE FRIENDS AND RELATIVES SINCE THEY WILL NOT BE ADMITTED.

Costumes and Tights

Measurements for costumes will be taken by the first week in December. All students who wish to participate in our annual recital must pay for their costumes and tights by December 1st. We accept cash, personal checks, and money orders for costume and tights payments. Please note that tights will be ordered FOR ALL STUDENTS along with their costumes. As costumes are custom-ordered, there are no refunds. Alterations may be necessary and are the responsibility of the student. We try to get input from as many students and parents as possible when selecting costumes. Costume prices will be posted at the studio and on our website, here.

On-Stage Information

You are expected to have each part of your costume for every performance in order to participate in the recitals. Please remember to bring all appropriate shoes to the REHEARSALS as well as the recitals. All girls may wear make-up if desired. Ballet students must wear their hair securely up in a bun.

Recital Ticket Information

All tickets are $12.00 in advance, $15.00 at the performance (both child and adult) and are available at the studio beginning Monday, April 23rd. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchase tickets early, as both the recitals sell out. Do not purchase more tickets than you need because there are NO REFUNDS.

Do not buy tickets for performing students! THE DRESS REHEARSAL IS THE STUDENTS' OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THE RECITAL. Students are not allowed in the auditorium during the recital performances.

SEATING IS ON A FIRST-TO-ARRIVE BASIS. YOU MAY NOT SAVE AUDITORIUM SEATS FOR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES BEFORE ANY OF THE PERFORMANCES.

Backstage Dressingroom Information

“Bouncy the Clown” performers should be brought backstage completely ready before the show starts. Following their performance, please come backstage to get them. You may then take them into the auditorium and let them sit on your lap.THESE STUDENTS ARE NOT TO BE IN THE AUDITORIUM BEFORE THE SHOW.

All students should go directly backstage when they arrive for each performance. Each class will be assigned to a dressing room in April. The dressing rooms will be clearly labeled backstage. Volunteers will be in every dressing room to assist the children during the performances. If a costume is worn to the auditorium, it must be completely covered so that no one will see it before the actual performance on stage. Fathers of students will not be allowed backstage.


STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE AUDITORIUM BEFORE THE SHOW.

FRIENDS OF STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN DRESSING ROOMS OR BACKSTAGE.

NO POP, GUM OR CANDY WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE DRESSING ROOMS OR BACKSTAGE.

PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME ON YOUR SHOES AND EACH COSTUME PIECE.

PLEASE LEAVE ALL JEWELRY (WATCHES, EARRINGS) AND VALUABLES AT HOME.

Volunteers Needed!

Dressing room aides: moms to help put on headpieces, tie shoes, change costumes and to supervise students in the dressing rooms. To help please sign up on the volunteer list at the studio. Our low ticket prices depend upon volunteers.

Photo and Video Information

You may take all the photographs and videos you wish on the evening of the dress rehearsal. NO CAMERAS OR VIDEO CAMERAS WILL BE ALLOWED DURING THE RECITAL PERFORMANCES, AS IT IS DISTRACTING TO THE AUDIENCE AS WELL AS THE PERFORMERS.

MOST MEDIA will be videotaping the recital. Order forms will be at the studio during April, or online here.

PICTURE PLACE PHOTOGRAPHY will be taking photographs at the Eagan Dance Studio in April.

Locate your child’s class time on the schedule that will be posted at the studio in April. The time listed is for group photographs. Please be prompt as the schedule will be strictly followed. Individual and family photographs can also be taken on these dates and are on a first-come, first-served basis.

COMMUNITY ACTION COUNCIL FOOD DRIVE

The annual CAC food drive will be held during picture days at the studio. Please leave your donations in the lobby.
